milkman2g delivers the Pickem' win
Only eight players were confident enough in the Texans ability to beat the Bills at home again to pick them on Thursday night; jmeehans99, milkman2g, and BadgerNoonan were among them and so took an early lead into the Sunday action. All three went on to correctly pick the Cowboy upset, but each missed just one matchup the rest of the way. milkman2g lost 12 confidence points (thanks to the default confidence rankings) on the Saints loss, and BadgerNoonan failed to lock in a winner for the Browns/Raiders matchup, losing 6 points. jmeehans99 took a flyer on the Titans (and almost hit it) to win at home, but only lost 3 points on the matchup to finish with 102 out of 105 possible points and win the week 12 Confidence contest.
milkman2g, jmeehans99, and BadgerNoonan were joined by HARRISON as the only players to correctly pick 13 matchups having missed the Bills TNF matchup, then going perfect the rest of the way. With the four players tied atop the standing, it only took the first tie-breaker for milkman2g to pull away from the pack and win the week 12 Pickem' contest and prevent the jmeehans99 sweep, who finished in second place by being 3 points further off the Niners' winning score.
It was another fairly vanila week in the Survivor contest, with only one player dropping from the top group thanks to the Bills loss. Just four other players were eliminated from the contest completely, two going down on the Eagles ugly loss to the Cowboys and one on a bold Raiders pick. Most of the winners were riding on the Niners, Ravens, or Lions, but there was one bold pick on the Cowboys by booboo. Nine players now remain with both lives remaining and 16 more with one to go.
