Just two points away from a perfect week, Phoning it in went off in week 11 with some outstanding picks. He started off hot with 15 points on TNF, then picked up a huge 9 points on the Jags and 4 more on the Panthers in the morning window, only dropping 2 points on the Vikings. After that, he called in a clean sheet to finish the week with an impressive 118 confidence points to win the week 11 Confidence contest. Lights, Camera, Ashton! tried to make a late surge to close the gap on MNF with 14 points riding on the Cowboys, but the 5 points he lost on the Vikings were too many to overcome and he finished in second place, 4 points off the pace.
4th and 9ers was trying to win his second week in a row and break up the sweep by finishing with 14 out of 15 wins, and while the 11 points he lost on the Chargers knocked him out of contention for the Confidence, it was good for top of the Pickem' standings. But, Phoning it in was also sitting at 14 wins by week's end and he was not to be denied the sweep. Phoning it in's prediction of 27 points for the Cowboy's winning score was 6 away from their actual 33 points, but 4th and 9ers was 10 away at 23, so Phoning it in secured the Pickem' contest and week 11 sweep on the first tie-breaker.
It turned out to be a real quiet week in the Survivor contest, but there were some nervy moments during the TNF game when it looked like the Jets might be able to pull out another big upset. A New England loss would have really turned the contest on its head, but instead only two players lost lives, one eliminated from the contest on a very brave Raiders pick, while another lost a life in OT in the ATL. Most of the winners this week were sitting on the Pats, with a few Pit, Bal, and Hou's sprinkled in.
