Fortunately for him, Sam V bet on his favorite Bears and with his final two confidence points was able to jump over EnsenadaDrive who, along with most of the league, had picked the Eagles, securing the Week 3 confidence victory with a total of 96 points. EnsenadaDrive finished in second place by just a single point.

In a week in which fully half of the matchups ended in an upset victory, somehow four players were able to correctly predict 11 of the matchups. EnsenadaDrive was also leading the Pickem' contest going into Monday Night Football and hoping for a sweep. But just like in the confidence contest, the Bears' victory snatched the victory away from him. dairysanders, Lord of Dragonstone, and jmeehans99 all bet on the Bears and were able to get to 11 victories to force a four-way tie. Having both picked a winning score of 24 points, dairysanders and Lord of Dragonstone were still tied after the first tie-breaker, but in the end it was Dairysanders who pulled out the Week 3 pick'em victory by being just 1 point closer on the second tiebreaker.

The league did a lot better than in the first two weeks but there were still 22 lives lost in the Week 3 survivor action. Fourteen more players were eliminated completely from the competition and now only 18 players remain who are undefeated. Seattle did most of the damage, accounting for 11 of the losses, while the Packers and a few others accounted for the rest. Meanwhile, the vast majority of the winners put their bet on the 49ers or the Chiefs.
